We take data protection seriously

The protection of your privacy when processing personal data is an important concern for us. When you visit our website, our web server automatically records the IP of your internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, the web pages you visit, and the date and length of your visit. This information is required for the technical transmission of the websites and for servers to operate securely. This data is not personally evaluated.

If you send us information via our contact form, this data will be stored on our servers during the course of data backup. We will only use your data to process your request. Your data will, of course, be treated as strictly confidential. It will not be passed on to third parties.

Personal data

Personal data is data about you as a person. This includes your name, your address and your email address. You do not have to disclose any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases, we will need your name and address as well as further information in order to be able to offer you your desired service.

The same applies in the event that we send you informational material at your request, or if we answer your questions. In all such cases, we will make it explicit. Furthermore, we only store the data that you have provided us with – either voluntarily or automatically.

If you use one of our services, we generally only collect data that is necessary in order for us to be able to offer you our services. We may ask you for further information, but giving this is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do this to be able to offer you our service or to pursue our commercial goals.

Automatically saved data

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called "server log files", which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Date and time of the request
  • Name of the requested file
  • Page from which the file was requested
  • The access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • The web browser and operating system used
  • The complete IP address of the computer requesting the file
  • Data volume transferred

This data will not be combined with data from other sources. Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

For reasons of technical security, in particular, to counter attempted attacks on our web server, we store this data for a short period. It is not possible for us to draw a conclusion on individual persons on the basis of this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is rendered anonymous by means of abbreviation of the IP address to the domain level, so that it is no longer possible to link them to individual users. In addition, the data is also processed in anonymised form for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other pools of data or transferred to third parties, nor are extracts from it. The number of page views is only shown in the context of our server statistics, which we publish in our activity report every two years.

Cookies

When you visit our websites, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters through which websites and servers can be assigned to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This allows internet sites and servers that have been visited to distinguish the individual's browser of the data subject from other internet browsers that contain other cookies. A particular internet browser can be recognised and identified by the unique cookie ID.

By using session cookies, the data controller can provide the users of this website with a user-friendly service that would not be possible without cookies being placed. Without consent, we only use technically necessary cookies on the legal basis of legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1, lit. f of the GDPR.

We only use personal cookies to improve our website or for marketing/advertising purposes with your consent. During your first visit, you can voluntarily consent to the tracking or analysis via the cookie banner that is displayed. If necessary, your data will be passed on to partners or third-party providers. These cookies are only stored if you explicitly agree to this; the legal basis is then your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1, lit. a of the GDPR.

Our website uses cookies

We use cookies to support technical functions in order to make our website as user-friendly as possible. In addition, we use statistics cookies, which are used to obtain information about user behaviour on this website and to continuously improve our website on the basis of this information.

Some of these cookies are technically necessary to ensure certain functions of the website.

In addition, we use some cookies that serve to obtain information about user behaviour on this website and to continuously improve our website on the basis of this information.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server, where it will be truncated. Unless otherwise specified for the individual technologies, the data processing takes place on the basis of an agreement concluded for the respective technology between jointly responsible persons in accordance with Art. 26 of the GDPR. For more information about Google's data processing, please see the privacy notices of Google. https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

Doubleclick by Google uses cookies to present advertisements that are relevant to you. Your browser is assigned an anonymous identification number (ID). This number is used to monitor which ads appear in your browser and which ads have been viewed. The cookies do not contain personal information. DoubleClick cookies only allow Google and its partner sites to display ads that are relevant to you based on your previous visits to our website or others on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transmitted by Google to a server in the USA for analysis and is stored there.

  • we are processing this data based on your revocable consent or on the basis of an existing contractual relationship, and
  • this processing is carried out using automated methods.

If technically feasible, you may demand that we transfer your data directly to another data controller.

Right of objection:

In the event that we are processing your data to safeguard legitimate interests, you can object to such processing at any time; this would also apply to any profiling based on these provisions. We will then no longer process your data, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is intended to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes without stating a reason.
